About This Challenge

The fastest time to arrange ten dice with the same number (blindfolded) is 8.53 seconds, achieved by Silvio Sabba (Italy), in Pioltello, Italy, on 17 July 2012.

Challenge Rules

  • Dice used must be commercially available, numbered, six-faced dice and no larger than 20mm (0.75 in) along the edge. Dice with lowered nibs (markings) are recommended.
  • The challenger must be blindfolded by an independent witness.
  • After the challenger is blindfolded, the 10 dice must be shaken and scattered by the witness.
  • The challenger must start with both hands flat on the table and may use two hands for the attempt.
  • At the start signal, the challenger must align the dice using touch only with all the number 1’s face upwards.
  • Removing the blindfold will disqualify the attempt.
  • Either the witness or challenger can stop the attempt, but decide who is doing this before you start the attempt
  • The dice may not be touched after the finish signal.
  • The witness should then check dice are correctly aligned in full view of the camera. Any dice showing incorrect number will void the attempt.

    To be honest with these 'Blindfolded' challenges, how can you tell if the participant can't see through the towel, scarf or whatever they are using? :)
