About This Challenge

The fastest time to build 10 extra levels on a Jenga tower is 30.78 seconds and was achieved by Luke Tevendale (UK) at Smyths Toys Charlton store in London, UK, as part of Guinness World Records day, on 17 November 2012.

Challenge Rules

  • A standard 54 block (18-story) Jenga tower must be used, to which an additional 10 levels must be added - IE: the final tower should be 28 stories high, and 30 blocks will be moved in the process of the attempt.
  • The rules for Jenga must be followed when assembling the tower.
  • Only one hand can be used during the attempt as stated in the official rules of the game./li>
  • Only one block at a time is permitted to be picked up and moved./li>
  • The challenger must start with one hand behind their back and the other flat on the table/surface.
  • The tower must be built in accordance with the rules – i.e. always complete a 3-block story before starting a higher one.
  • The time ends as the last block is added to the tower and the challenger raises their hand.
