    Hi Dan, when I watched the video afterwards, I see it is not as clear as it can be. But, this has got to be one of the HARDEST challenges, I think. So I presume I would battle to do it again and I decided to submit it. I had to try over 110 (hundred and ten) times. Exhausting, but I won't let Stephen Kish think he's better. Hopefully that is in the spirit of Challengers. Thank you. Alastair.

About This Challenge

The most AA batteries held in the hand is 48, achieved by Silvio Sabba (Italy), in Pioltello, Milan, Italy, on 19 march 2012.

Challenge Rules

  • The batteries used must be commercially available, size AA batteries.
  • The batteries must start in a bowl placed in front of the challenger on the table/surface.
  • Once the attempt starts, the challenger has 30 seconds to place the batteries in their hand, one at a time, using their free hand.
  • After this 30 second period, the batteries must be held for a further 10 seconds, without dropping any or touching them with the spare hand, for the attempt to be valid.
  • The batteries must be counted after the attempt, at which point the 'AA' label on each must be shown.
  • The attempt must be made using a bare-skin hand only. Gloves, adhesive materials, or any other form of support are not permitted.
